# Cruising Down the Mekong to Explore Laos

The Mekong river seemed like a perfect setting for our border crossing to Laos; beautiful scenery, green mountains and lush vegetation, what better way to travel from Thailand to Laos than by a river cruise. Our boat was lovely with ornate wooden carvings all around.

# North of Thailand – Bangkok and all the Chiang’s

From the beautiful Southern Islands of Thailand we headed inland to spend a couple days in crazy Bangkok. It was really busy and I didn’t think it felt very homely, it was an urban jungle. We spent the first day there in the only “hipster” place we could find which was the largest market.

# Meeting Friends and our adventures in Thailand’s Southern islands

After meeting one of my closest friends in Singapore, we had a brief stop over in an AirB&B not too far from Singapore airport before flying to Krabi in Thailand the next morning. After a very overly friendly taxi ride to the airport with a guy called “Harry Potter”, who gave us his “business card.”

# Campervan Route up the east coast of Australia

I had a huge misconception about Australia – we arrived under the pretence that it would not be a more expensive and hotter Britain. We couldn’t have been so wrong, Australia is really lovely, I would love to do a working year there. We only had three weeks so we hired a camper van.

# Stroking eels and time travel in Fiji – South Sea Island

After our flight from San Francisco where we crossed the international date line and completely skipped the 19th December we safely landed in Fiji! Fiji was my favourite place so far.

# From South America to North America – Disneyland California

We had a little surprise for ourselves booked for North America in the not so sunny California. We arrived in San Fan airport only to have to wait another couple hours to catch another sneaky flight to LAX. The reason? We were going to Disneyland!

# Cultural Arequipa, Desert Oasis Huacachina and Bustling Lima

After saying goodbye to our beloved Cusco we pulled in to Arequipa. It is a beautiful city that reminded me a lot of Kings Landing in Game of Thrones. The city is called the White City because it’s made of white sandstone.

# Inca Jungle Adventure to Machu Pichu

After a late briefing the night before we set off bright and early to begin our Inca Jungle adventures! We walked a couple blocks to get our mini bus but it was late – typical South America.

# Exploring Cusco and Wild Rovering

Cusco was an absolutely lovely city – we couldn’t have picked a better location to spend a little longer in. We stayed in the Wild Rover (Hostel) again, the same chain as the one we stayed in La Paz.
